Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Laura Escamilla

Laura is a senior in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science and has been an active lab member since Spring 2022. She has hands-on flight experience, having participated in numerous test flights of small fixed-wing aircraft at RELLIS, working alongside the ground station team. This past summer, she interned at AeroVironment as an Autonomy Intern Engineer, where she configured a vehicle’s transition from software-in-the-loop to hardware-in-the-loop testing using MAVLink, ROS2, TCP, and UDP. She is currently working on a GNSS-denied navigation project, integrating both software and hardware. Her interests include multi-agent coordination and intelligent autonomous systems.
